Rashee Rice reunited with Patrick Mahomes on the field in Texas

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is actively participating in the team’s voluntary offseason program, despite facing eight felony charges following a multi-vehicle crash last month. The team’s program is currently being held virtually until practice begins on May 20th. Rice has also reunited with quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Texas to continue their training together.

During Phase One of the team’s offseason program, Mahomes arranges on-field practices three times a week for the players before they meet with their position coaches. While Rice’s status with the team was uncertain until coach Andy Reid addressed the local media on Monday, he has shown promise on the field as a rookie last season, leading the team’s wide receivers with impressive stats.

Despite legal challenges, the Chiefs are hopeful that Rice will continue to excel and potentially start opposite Hollywood Brown in the upcoming season. Coach Reid stated that they will wait for the law enforcement process to take its course before making any decisions about Rice’s future with the team. In a conversation with Rice, Reid emphasized the importance of learning from the incident for his future growth.
