Oakland Raiders Consider Moving Training Camp to Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Southern California

The Las Vegas Raiders are considering relocating their 2024 training camp to Southern California, specifically to the Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa. The team is currently in talks with the city about using the sports complex for this summer’s camp.

If the deal with Costa Mesa is approved, the Raiders would join four other NFL teams training within 100 miles of one another in Southern California. Practices at the camp would be open to the public.

Costa Mesa’s City Council is set to discuss the possibility of entering a one-year agreement with the Raiders today. The city appears to be preparing to host the NFL franchise, with the team potentially paying $165,000 in rent to Costa Mesa as part of the agreement. Additionally, the Raiders would pay $600,000 for field improvements at the sports complex.

The move from Henderson could provide a new training environment for the Raiders and allow them to take advantage of Southern California’s warm weather during their summer camps.
