5K run generates funds for children’s mental health

Nearly 2,000 people gathered in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday for the On Our Sleeves 5K event. The weather was perfect for a run, and the community came together to support a good cause. The race took place at the Columbus Crew’s Lower.com Field and was aimed at raising awareness, breaking stigmas, and fundraising for children’s mental health through On Our Sleeves.

The funds raised from the event will go towards providing free mental health resources through the foundation. It is crucial to continue discussing mental health and breaking the stigmas associated with it, as emphasized by Whitney Raglin Bignall, the associate clinical director for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. By raising awareness and funds, individuals can come together to support the cause and help provide essential mental health resources.

Since 2018, over 6 million individuals across the United States have benefitted from the free pediatric mental health education resources offered by On Our Sleeves. To learn more about the organization and how to get involved, visit their website.
