During a meeting with unions at Palazzo Chigi, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced that the Council of Ministers will bring a legislative decree in January 2025 to provide an allowance of 100 euros to employees with a total income not exceeding 28,000 euros, who have a spouse and at least one dependent child, or for single-parent families with a single dependent child. In addition, Meloni emphasized the importance of supporting those looking for work, those hiring, and those intending to start their own businesses.
The government plans to retrain workers of large companies in crisis to facilitate the matching of job supply and demand and support the creation of new businesses in the South and Center-North.
