During his General Audience in the Vatican, Pope Francis called upon the faithful to pray the Rosary and entrusted to Mary the conflicts that are ongoing in the Holy Land, Ukraine, and Myanmar. He emphasized the importance of rediscovering the value of praying the Rosary on May 8th, which is celebrated as Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii. The Church raises prayers of supplication to Our Lady of the Rosary on this day.
The Holy Father invited everyone to invoke Mary’s intercession for peace in the world, particularly in Ukraine, Palestine, Israel and Myanmar. In addition to this, he also requested special prayers for young people, those who are sick or elderly present at the audience and newlyweds. Before giving his Apostolic Blessing, Pope Francis urged everyone to pray the Rosary throughout May.
