A presentation on global trust and health

According to a report by global communications firm Edelman, physicians are the most trusted source of health information in the world. The report, titled “2024 Edelman Trust Barometer Special Report: Trust and Health,” includes survey data from 16 different countries, broken down by age, feelings of empowerment, and political leanings.

The data shows that patients trust their healthcare providers more than government leaders, celebrities, sports figures, and other influencers when it comes to health information. The report also includes a slideshow titled “My Provider Most Trusted as a Source of Truth on Health” which ranks different job categories based on their trustworthiness in providing health information. Physicians rank high on the list, with percentages ranging from neutral to high levels of trust.

The importance of trust in healthcare providers is highlighted in the report as they play a crucial role in educating the public about health issues. The survey included data from countries such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan
