Ludvig Åberg pulls out of 2024 Wells Fargo Championship due to knee injury

Ludvig Åberg, a top player on the PGA Tour, has announced that he will not be participating in the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship due to a knee injury. This news has reduced the number of players at Quail Hollow Club to 69. In an official statement, Åberg expressed his regret at having to withdraw from the tournament and revealed that his doctors advised him to rest in order to recover from the knee issue. Despite being a PGA Tour winner, Åberg was looking forward to securing a significant win at Quail Hollow.

Despite his recent impressive form, including eight consecutive top 25 finishes, Åberg’s withdrawal from the Wells Fargo Championship has shifted his focus towards preparing for the PGA Championship at Valhalla next week. As one of the favorites for the upcoming championship, Åberg is determined to overcome his knee injury and compete for the Wanamaker Trophy in his debut at the event. His strong track record and consistent performances in recent months have positioned him as a strong contender for a notable victory at the PGA Championship.
