Joe Milton will never transition to tight end

The New England Patriots have made a bold move by selecting rookie quarterbacks in the latest draft. Joe Milton, formerly of Tennessee and Michigan, was chosen in the sixth round, joining their earlier pick, Drake Maye, who was selected third overall. Maye is seen as the future quarterback for the team, with Jacoby Brissett also on the roster to provide experience and leadership until Maye is ready. In addition to Maye and Milton, Bailey Zappe and Nathan Rourke are also part of the quarterback depth chart for the Patriots.

During a press conference, Milton expressed his readiness to compete for a chance to play as quarterback for New England. He made it clear that he has only discussed playing quarterback with the team and has not heard of any possibilities of switching positions, such as playing as a tight end. Despite speculation from some that he might consider a position change, Milton firmly stated his dedication to the quarterback role and dismissed any talk of switching to another position.

While there is no clear path to playing time for Milton at present, it seems evident that he is committed to playing quarterback and focused on competing for that role. The Patriots have an impressive mix of rookie talent and experienced players at the quarterback position, and Milton’s determination to succeed in his chosen position suggests he is prepared to work hard to earn his place on the team.
