Northeast High School and the University of Nebraska Lincoln recently collaborated to hold a college fair focused on the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. The event took place during the evening of the students’ parent-teacher conferences at the school, a strategic decision made by coordinators Tammera Mittelstet from the ag science college and Northeast Principal Keri Applebee.
The college fair attracted students and their families, providing an opportunity for them to learn more about programs in animal and food science, engineering, forensic science, and pre-veterinary studies offered at UNL. Both UNL and Northeast High School are planning to continue their partnership in the future, with the goal of providing even more students with opportunities to explore various career paths and visualize their future goals.
This initiative aims to help students make connections and gain insights into potential future endeavors in fields such as agriculture, science, engineering, and more.
