The Packers add OT Andre Dillard to their roster

The Green Bay Packers have signed free agent Andre Dillard to a contract, as announced by the team. With many questions surrounding their offensive line, particularly with left tackle David Bakhtiari becoming a free agent after his release, the Packers have a need to address this position. Currently, they have Rasheed Walker, Kadeem Teifort, Zach Tom, Luke Tenuta, and Caleb Jones at tackle on their roster.

Dillard’s most starts in a single season came in 2023 when he started 10 games at left tackle for the Titans. He played a career-high 562 offensive snaps last season and showcased his potential as a valuable asset for the Packers. Dillard has experience at both left and right tackle throughout his career. He was drafted 22nd overall in 2019 by the Philadelphia Eagles and played 59 games with 19 starts before being released by the Tennessee Titans on March 15th.

The Packers may also look to draft multiple linemen next week to further strengthen their offensive line. With Dillard likely competing for the left tackle job, the team will need to evaluate other options as well to ensure they have a solid starting five up front. The upcoming NFL draft presents an opportunity for them to add some depth and talent to this important position group.
