New Guinness World Records Holder, Texas’ Centenarian Skydiver: ‘Never Underestimate Yourself’

Alfred “Al” Blaschke, a man from Texas, recently reclaimed his Guinness World Records title by going skydiving at the age of 106 years and 327 days old. In 2020, he earned the title for being the oldest person to tandem skydive when he jumped out of a plane at the age of 103. However, his record was later broken by a Swedish woman named Rut Linnéa Ingegärd Larsson, who was 103 years and 259 days old when she went skydiving.

Determined to recapture his title, Blaschke took the plunge once again at an impressive age. This time, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott joined him on the adventure, making his first jump alongside Blaschke. When asked about his experience, Blaschke had some inspiring words to share. He expressed that individuals should not underestimate themselves and that everyone is more capable than they think. All they need is the courage to try something new. His positive mindset and adventurous spirit are truly commendable.
