Mintz Successfully Attracts Proskauer’s Life Science Patent Chair and Team with Ten-Lawyer Maneuver

Mintz Levin has recently made a significant expansion in the life sciences sector by acquiring Siegmund “Sige” Gutman, who previously served as the chair of Proskauer Rose’s life science patent practice. This move is aimed at establishing the firm as a leader in life sciences law in multiple locations across the country.

Gutman will be joining Mintz Levin along with eight other attorneys, including David Hanna, to strengthen the firm’s presence in key cities such as Los Angeles, Boston, and New York. As part of this two-partner, 10-attorney move, Gutman will be taking on the roles of chair of life sciences litigation and co-chair of the firm’s patent litigation group.

Mintz Levin is excited to welcome Gutman and his team to help further establish itself as a leader in life sciences law. With their expertise and experience, this addition will enhance the firm’s capabilities in the life sciences field and provide its clients with exceptional legal services.
