Over 150 possibly exposed to measles

In West Virginia, a first case of measles since 2009 has been reported by the Department of Health. The patient who tested positive for measles is located in Morgantown and is an under-vaccinated person who recently traveled internationally. This case has put 152 people at risk, with 62 of them lacking documentation of adequate immunization against measles.

On Saturday, new information was released that showed that people potentially exposed to the measles virus lived in various counties across West Virginia, including Berkeley, Braxton, Brooke, Doddridge, Gilmer, Grant, Greenbrier, Hampshire, Hancock, Kanawha, Logan, Marion, Marshall, Mason, McDowell, Mercer, Mineral
