Mayo Clinic Health System’s hospitals in Albert Lea and Austin, along with five other locations, have recently earned top marks for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group. This independent national nonprofit organization provides safety ratings to help patients make informed decisions about their healthcare choices. These A grades demonstrate the dedication of these hospitals to fostering a culture of safety and ensuring exceptional outcomes for patients.

Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Quality chair of Mayo Clinic Health System, emphasizes the importance of prioritizing patient well-being and delivering safe care to everyone who comes through their doors. The hospitals that earned A grades include locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and other areas served by Mayo Clinic Health System. The Hospital Safety Score, updated twice a year by The Leapfrog Group, is based on 15 measures of publicly available hospital safety data and 12 self-reported survey answers.
