Aviation Industry Workers’ Committee to Disrupt Delivery of Hetz-3 to Germany

The state defense concern Aviation Industry is considering implementing strike sanctions that could impact the supply of Hetz-3 missile defense systems to Germany, valued at 4 billion euros. The reason for these potential sanctions is the demand from the Ministry of Finance for employees to return salary bonuses deemed to be received in violation of regulations. The Ministry of Finance claims that the amount in question totals several hundred million shekels dating back to 2018.

The working committee of the state defense concern Aviation Industry is strongly opposed to the Ministry of Finance’s demand, and they are threatening to halt production of Hetz-3 batteries for Germany and instead focus on producing similar batteries for the IDF. They are also planning to restrict travel abroad related to the deal with Germany. Concern management supports their stance due to fears that employees may leave for other companies if required to return part of their salaries.
