Isospec Analytics Secures $1.9M in Funding for Rapid and Accurate Molecular Identification Technology

Isospec Analytics has secured $1.9M in funding to bring new technologies to market that can quickly identify unknown molecules. This advancement is crucial in the development of drugs, nutritional products, and pesticides, as accurately identifying molecules is essential for product safety and regulatory approval. Failure to accurately identify molecules can lead to regulatory issues or potential harm to consumers.

The round of funding for Isospec was led by Founderful (formerly Wingman Ventures), with additional support from investors Tiny.vc, another.vc, and Venture Kick. The technology developed by Isospec is able to rapidly identify unknown molecules in just minutes, significantly speeding up the molecular analysis process.

Current methods for identifying unknown molecules rely primarily on mass analysis, which may not always provide enough information for accurate identification. Isospec’s technology generates detailed metrics that make it much easier to definitively identify unknown molecules, improving the accuracy and efficiency of the analysis process.

Isospec’s technology originated from the Laboratory of Molecular Physical Chemistry at EPFL and is already being used in industries such as food and agritech for quality control and product research and development.
