Iowa High School Sports Awards: 2021 Girls Basketball Player of the Year Nominees Unveiled

The Iowa High School Sports Awards, presented by SCHEELS, has announced the nominees for Girls Basketball Player of the Year. This award is sponsored by Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company and is part of a nationwide program that recognizes student-athletes over nine months, culminating in a red-carpet event this spring.

The show celebrates athletes, coaches, and teams from across the state involved in sanctioned Iowa high school sports. At the live show, these nominees will be acknowledged along with players of the year in 21 other sports. Elite awards for student-athletes on and off the field will also be presented, including a Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and Athletes of the Year for both boys and girls.

Nominated athletes who confirm attendance will receive complimentary tickets to the event thanks to sponsors. Guests of nominated athletes can purchase tickets through a provided link.
