Urgent Need for Policy Change and Protection of Children’s Rights in Pediatric Health Care in Immigration Detention Centers

The FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University is hosting a virtual conversation on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm EDT. This event will take place on Zoom and registration is mandatory. The discussion will focus on the key findings of the report titled “Child Migrants in Family Immigration Detention in the US: An Examination of Current Pediatric Care Standards and Practices” which was published in January 2024.

Speakers at the event will provide insights into the impact of the report on policy implications for the future, address legal challenges in the current climate, and emphasize the importance of increased transparency in the border security process and oversight of child-specific processes. The session will include a Q&A session for attendees to ask questions.
