The fourth edition of the Innovation Cybersecurity Summit recently took place in Rome on April 16th. Organized by the National Association of Young Innovators (ANGI), this summit is considered a crucial event in the field of cyber security and defense. Various institutions, including the Office of European Parliament in Italy, supported the event.
The theme of this year’s summit was “Perspectives and applications for new assets between cybersecurity, energy defense, and aerospace.” Industry leaders and experts gathered for a day of intense debates at the Italian Armed Forces Officers’ Club. The summit attracted the attention of ministers, senior officials, and industry leaders.
Minister Guido Crosetto and Minister Adolfo Urso emphasized the importance of technological innovation and European Digital Innovation Hubs in strengthening cyber resilience. They highlighted the dualism of opportunity and risk brought by technological innovation, stressing the importance of preparedness in utilizing new technologies. Minister Urso also highlighted the central role of European Digital Innovation Poles and specialized competence centers in disseminating knowledge on cyber resilience.
The summit served as a platform for dialogue and debate on public safety and investments in enhancing the country’s ecosystem. The event saw participation from key representatives in the defense world, institutions, companies, and academic figures. ANGI expressed its gratitude for the significant presence and contributions of various institutions and companies during this important gathering. The delivery of the Manifesto by young innovators aimed to contribute to the protection of critical infrastructures and the defense and cybersecurity ecosystem.
