IOCL Chooses Lummus’ Cumene Technology for their Operations

In a significant move, IndianOil Corp. Ltd. (IOCL) has chosen Lummus Technology to provide the cumene technology for a new unit at their Paradip complex in India. This decision was made after careful consideration of the benefits offered by Lummus’ technology, including lower energy costs, operational efficiency, and exceptional product yield.

Lummus Technology’s Chief Business Officer for Polymers and Petrochemicals, Romain Lemoine, expressed his excitement about working with IOCL on this project and continuing their long-term relationship. The scope of Lummus’ involvement includes providing the technology license for cumene, basic design engineering, proprietary catalysts, site services, advisory services, and training.
