The upcoming World Athletics Relays Bahamas 2024 promises to be an exciting event, with a total of 32 teams competing in the men’s 4x400m relay, 27 teams in the women’s 4x400m relay, and 30 teams in the mixed 4x400m relay.
India is set to participate in all three races at the event, with an eight-member team in the men’s 4x400m relay, a seven-member team in the women’s 4x400m relay, and a team of six athletes in the mixed 4x400m relay.
The Indian men’s team includes some of the country’s top athletes like Amoj Jacob, Muhammad Anas Yahiya, Muhammad Ajmal, and Rajesh Ramesh, who won gold at the Asian Games in this event at the Hangzhou Asian Games. Other members of the team are Arokia Rajiv, Noah Nirmal Tom, Yashas Palaksha and Avinash Krishna Kumar.
In contrast to India’s eight-member squad for men’s race ,the women’s team will consist of seven runners including MR Poovamma and other talented runners like Vithya Ramraj ,Aishwarya Mishra , Subha Venkatesan ,Jyothika Sri Dandi and Rupal.
The mixed team comprises Vithya Ramraj as well as Rajesh Ramesh from India. Jyothika Sri Dandi has been included along with Amoj Jacob ,Rupal on this team .Yashas Palaksha will also be part of this exciting mix that is sure to create waves on track .
All other teams will have their chance to qualify for Paris 2024 Olympic Games on day two of the event where top two teams from each heat will advance. Start lists will be published on May 3rd; however
