ICC addresses reports of terror threat to T20 World Cup: ‘Prepared with appropriate measures to…’

The international cricketing body, ICC, has responded to reports suggesting that Cricket West Indies received a terror threat from Northern Pakistan. The ICC stated that it has plans in place to mitigate any risk identified with the upcoming marquee event.

In response to the threat, the West Indies Cricket Board also commented, saying, “We want to assure all stakeholders that the safety and security of everyone at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is our number one priority and we have a comprehensive and robust security plan in place.”

The ICC stated, “We work closely with authorities in the host countries and cities, and continually monitor and evaluate the global landscape to ensure appropriate plans are in place to mitigate any risks identified to our event.”

The ICC also emphasized that it takes all threats seriously and works closely with local authorities to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators. The organization has implemented strict security measures for the event, including increased police presence, bomb detection teams, and advanced screening technologies.

With just over a month until the start of the tournament, which will be held in Australia from October 23rd to November 15th, the ICC is committed to making sure that everything runs smoothly.
