In 2024, Pamplin College of Business honored several individuals and student organizations for their contributions to diversity, equity, inclusion and business excellence.
Meena Zaheen, a Management student, was recognized with the Diversity Excellence Award for her significant contributions to DEIB causes within Pamplin. Andrea Amihere, also from the Management program, received an honorable mention.
The Deans Advisory Board of Students (DABS) is a group of 20-25 students selected to work with Dean Saonee Sarker to advise and represent the business school. The goal of DABS is to create a more inclusive environment within Pamplin so that all students can thrive. In 2024, Hudson Aikins, a Management student, and Mariam Farzayee, an Accounting and Information Systems student, were awarded the 2024 DABS President Recognition.
Nine first honors graduates were recognized for achieving a 4.0 GPA at Virginia Tech in 2024. These included Rahul Bhatt in Management, Jonathan Braun in Finance and Real Estate, Anne Deegan in BIT and Management, Charli Dietz in ACIS, Alexandra Evan in BIT and Management, Rhea Nair in Management
