Reportedly heading to TCU is LSU transfer Hailey Van Lith.

Hailey Van Lith, a former LSU point guard, has announced her decision to transfer to TCU for her final year of eligibility. Van Lith spent one season at LSU before entering the transfer portal following the Tigers’ loss to Iowa in the Elite Eight. She previously played three years at Louisville before joining LSU following their national championship in April 2023.

During her time at LSU, Van Lith’s performance was not as consistent as it was during her time at Louisville. Her field goal percentage decreased from .411 to .388, and her scoring average also dropped from 19.7 points per game at Louisville to 11.6 at LSU. This decline in production can be attributed to a change in position, as Van Lith transitioned into a starting point guard role with LSU.

While Van Lith has not publicly commented on her decision to transfer, Kim Mulkey, her former coach at LSU, provided some insight into her thought process. Mulkey mentioned that Van Lith had aspirations of being drafted this year and felt that another year of development in a more comfortable position was necessary. Mulkey praised Van Lith’s work ethic and determination to expand her skill set during their time together.

Despite Van Lith’s departure from LSU, Mulkey expressed support for the player and acknowledged her dedication and hard work throughout their time together. Van Lith’s decision to transfer to TCU marks a new chapter in her collegiate basketball career as she looks forward to making the most of her final year of eligibility.

In summary, Hailey Van
