Survivors of the Hamas attack file lawsuit against US campus protesters

The plaintiffs in this case are seeking to sever ties between protest organizations at US universities and Hamas. They want to educate students about their actions and hinder the fundraising and operations of these groups on campus. The lawsuit is led by legal firms such as Greenberg Traurig, NJAC, Schoen, and Holtzman Vogel, along with support from volunteers, professors, students, and other law firms.

The lawsuit alleges that a coordinated social media campaign followed Hamas’s attack on Israel. Members of the AMP and NSJP spread messages justifying the attack through a document called the ‘NSJP Toolbox’. This document provided instructions on propaganda management, protest organization strategies, and recruitment tactics. It emphasized that actions beyond symbolic gestures were necessary for resistance and legitimized any form of confrontation. The NSJP also claimed to be part of an organized intifada led by Hamas and supported liberation through any means necessary, including violence.

The prosecutors accuse the AMP and NSJP of planning events targeting the American economy in solidarity with Hamas and Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. These organizations are alleged to be PR arms for terrorist groups that recruit soldiers, spread propaganda, and incite violence to influence US policy in support of Hamas’s goals. The plaintiffs seek compensation directly from these organizations as per court decisions.

Richard Rosenbaum, president of Greenberg Traurig expressed pride in representing the plaintiffs in ensuring that evidence of defendants’ violations is presented in court. He emphasized his firm’s commitment to seeking justice for those affected by terrorist activities and bringing accountability to organizations collaborating with terrorists.
