Google Photos introduces feature to hide specific faces in Memories

Google Photos is constantly updating its features and functionality to provide users with a more personalized experience. One of the latest additions is the ability to use the ‘Show less’ feature in the Memories section. This feature allows users to limit the appearance of specific faces in the photographs collected in this space, giving them greater control over what they see in the application.

Google Photos is known for its ability to detect images of places, pets, and faces, organizing them in different sections for easier access. One of these sections is People Search, which helps users find photos containing a specific person. In the latest version of Google Photos, users will notice a new button labeled ‘Show less’ in the Memories section. This button will allow them to keep images of a certain person saved in the application storage but reduce their frequency in the Memories section.

This feature is more permissive than the ‘Block Face’ option, which completely removes faces from Memories and group photos. Users can access this functionality by going to the Settings section, navigating to Preferences, and then clicking on Memories. From there, they can adjust their preferences for displaying faces in Memories. Google Photos continues to enhance its features to provide users with a personalized photo management experience.

In addition to these new features, Google Photos also offers other tools that allow users to customize their photo management experience further. For example, they can use facial recognition technology to identify people and pets in their photos and add labels or captions accordingly. They can also create albums or galleries based on specific criteria such as date or location.

Overall, Google Photos offers an extensive range of features that make it easy for users to organize and manage their photos effectively. Whether you are looking for a simple tool for storing your memories or a more advanced platform for editing and sharing your photos online, Google Photos has something for everyone.

As technology continues to evolve at lightning speed, it’s fascinating how companies like Google continue to innovate and improve their products. With so much data being generated every day through social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram alone (not even considering other types of digital content), it’s no wonder that we need tools like Google Photos
