The ‘Be Healthy Bash’, hosted by UK HealthCare, is a summer kick-off event aimed at promoting overall well-being. Taking place on June 8th at the Fayette County Extension Office in Lexington, this festival will offer a variety of activities and information centered around nutrition, fitness, and emotional wellness.
Dr. Kristen Stakelin, the medical director at the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center, said that the event was initially created to promote healthy eating and physical activity. She is thrilled that the ‘Be Healthy Bash’ has expanded to offer a wide range of health and wellness services that go beyond the original vision.
The festival will feature health screenings, wellness resources, free food, vaccinations, cooking demonstrations, taste testing, emotional wellness activities, physical activities, and games. Attendees can also enjoy inflatables for both kids and adults, a petting zoo, safety education, a smoothie bike, a meet and greet with UK’s mascot, Wally Cat, live music
