St. Louis continues to prove it deserves an NFL team

In recent years, the United Football League (UFL) has been facing challenges in filling stadiums across several cities. However, one city stands out as an exception – St. Louis, where the Battlehawks have attracted over 30,000 fans for three consecutive home games. Their latest victory over the Houston Roughnecks drew a crowd of 32,969 spectators.

Meanwhile, on the same day at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, a Cardinals game also drew a significant crowd of 38,559 spectators. This has led to discussions about whether St. Louis should once again have an NFL team. The city previously had the Cardinals, who relocated to Arizona in 1988, and later welcomed the Rams in 1995. However, the Rams returned to Los Angeles in 2016 and resulted in a substantial settlement for St. Louis due to misleading statements made by the team and the NFL.

While it may take some time for the NFL to consider returning to St. Louis, there is no denying that the city’s willingness to support football has been evident in the past. Despite setbacks with the Rams, some believe that St. Louis should still be considered as a potential NFL city in the future. However, ultimately it is up to the NFL to decide if they want to take advantage of this opportunity and return to St. Louis.
