Ogier not too worried about Detuned Rally1 cars – DirtFish

In my opinion, the competition in the sport is fierce and the gap between top-performing cars and struggling ones is vast. However, increasing the number of competitive cars could benefit the sport.

As for drivers who are not at the top level, a top-tier driver could certainly drive a Rally2 car like Sébastien Ogier has done in the past. Although it may seem like a downgrade in performance, Ogier believes that having more spectacular cars on the track is beneficial for both drivers and fans. He also acknowledges that reducing costs and increasing entries in the top category can lead to exciting competition.

Ogier’s concerns go beyond just his own performance, as he also believes that more promotion is needed to attract a wider audience to the sport. He thinks that events like Croatia Rally need more promotion to ensure their continued presence in the world championship. His thoughts on these issues show that he is not only focused on his own success but also on the growth and development of the sport as a whole.
