CWI completes construction on new health and science building, enhancing Nampa campus facilities

The College of Western Idaho held a beam signing event to celebrate the completion of its new Health & Science building at the Nampa campus. This marks the first expansion at the college since it opened in 2007.

Former student Nichelle Boyce, who earned her degree in Surgical Technology from CWI, expressed excitement about the expansion and its benefits for future students. She highlighted the convenience of having all professors in one location, making it easier for students to reach out for questions and answers. The new building will streamline the learning process and improve collaboration among students.

Vice Chair Trustee Cherie Buckner-Webb emphasized the urgent need for more healthcare professionals not only in Idaho but globally. CWI is preparing students to meet this demand and serve communities around the world. The new Health & Science building represents a significant step towards meeting this need and providing a centralized and efficient learning environment for students.

The consolidation of the Health & Science department in the new building will provide students with access to all resources in one spot, making it particularly beneficial for those pursuing healthcare careers. Collaboration is a crucial aspect of student learning, and CWI views this department as a key area for expansion.
