Odessa suffers injuries following significant fire

A fire broke out in the port of the Ukrainian city Odessa after it was struck by a rocket. At least 13 people were injured, according to the governor, who shared the information on Telegram. Images and videos from media channels showed flames and large clouds of smoke rising into the sky at the scene. A large warehouse used for postal and courier services had been hit, but there was no statement available from Russia regarding the incident.

In response to the attacks, Ukrainian drone strikes led to power outages in several Russian regions, including the Kursk and Oryol regions. Air defense units intercepted the drones over the Glazunovsky and Sverdlovskaya districts of the Oryol region, causing damage but with no information on deaths or injuries provided. In the Kursk region, a drone was shot down, causing a power outage in the small town of Poniri, with repair teams already working to restore power. Additionally, the governor of the Smolensk region reported Ukrainian drone attacks on energy infrastructure but did not provide details.

The conflict between Ukraine and Russia continues to escalate as both sides engage in attacks and retaliation that result in damages and disruptions in affected areas. These events mark a continuation of a long-standing conflict that has resulted in loss of life and displacement for many people in both countries. The situation remains tense and unpredictable as both sides continue to engage in military actions that have caused significant damage to infrastructure and civilian populations alike.
