New permanent exhibit ‘Advancing Health’ at Cincinnati Museum Center highlights self care practices

The Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is set to launch a new permanent exhibit in July that aims to enhance the region’s understanding, interest, and appreciation of health. Dubbed Advancing Health presented by Mayfield Brain & Spine, the exhibit will showcase body systems, medical innovations, and healthcare professions to inspire a new generation to take care of themselves and others.

Through nine sections, visitors will be able to explore the human body on a cell-by-cell level and from a holistic perspective. Each section will feature a different body system, allowing visitors to learn how the body works, how to keep it healthy, and the breakthroughs that help restore health. Interactive elements, videos, historic innovations, and the latest research will immerse visitors in each system, from how muscles produce tiny electrical signals to exploring the current air quality in the Cincinnati region and what that means for lung health.

Elizabeth Pierce, president & CEO of Cincinnati Museum Center, emphasized that Advancing Health is meant to educate visitors on how their bodies function and how technology has aided in health care when systems fail. The exhibit aims to nurture both minds and bodies, inspiring the next generation of individuals who will shape the future of health and care.

Advancing Health presented by Mayfield Brain & Spine is the latest addition to CMC’s Museum of Natural History & Science, made possible through the Champion More Curiosity campaign. This permanent exhibit will open in July and provide visitors with a unique and educational experience focused on health and wellness.
