Can Humans Be Tracked with GPS Technology?

This evening, I experienced a setback when I got a flat tire on my bike, making me late for a dinner out with my wife. As I stood there, feeling frustrated by the situation, I began to contemplate the idea of having some sort of tracking device that could monitor my whereabouts and speed of travel in real-time.

I learned from a hair stylist that she keeps track of her kids’ locations using their cellphones. This made me wonder if there was a similar tracking method that did not involve a cellphone. After all, as someone who values privacy, I didn’t want to have all my movements monitored by my wife through my phone.

That’s when it struck me – what about GPS tracking devices? Certain convicted criminals are required to wear them, so why couldn’t I use one too? But then again, would it be feasible to have such a device on myself without relying on a cellphone?

A suggestion was made for me to simply carry a cellphone, but I pondered the idea of having an alternative method of tracking my movements. Perhaps there was some other device out there that could do the job just as well without compromising my privacy.
