Kate Gutman has been appointed as the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Ziff Davis’ technology media group, which includes PCMag, Mashable, Lifehacker, and Spiceworks. Prior to joining Ziff Davis, Gutman served as the Senior Vice President of Content Ventures at Gannett, where she managed a portfolio of digital growth businesses and new ventures focused on attracting new audiences and expanding revenue streams through initiatives like affiliate commerce, video, brand licensing, and new subscription products. Before that, she led the digital business at A+E Television Networks International, where she played a key role in growing digital revenue through content distribution, launching international SVOD services, and revamping TV channels like History En Espanol.
Gutman’s career also includes senior digital and business strategy positions at companies like Reader’s Digest/Trusted Brands, Rodale, Bertelsmann, and Lagardère Group. She is a graduate of Columbia University with an M.B.A in management and a B.A in economics.
