The merger between Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System has been finalized, and they will now operate under the name Emplify Health. The new name reflects their united goal of increasing access to healthcare, creating a culture of empathy, and enhancing population health outcomes.
The rebranding process will take place over the next few months, with all hospitals and clinics changing their name to Emplify Health. This change is intended to symbolize their commitment to understanding and increasing the well-being of their patients and communities.
While some entities like Gundersen Medical Foundation and The Bellin Health Foundation will retain their names, they will not be affected by the merger at this time. Funds received by each foundation will continue to be used for the purposes intended by the donors.
Patients of Emplify Health can expect to receive care from the same providers and staff at the same locations they are familiar with. Rathgaber mentioned that the transition to Emplify Health is expected to take several years to complete.
