The city of Detroit is buzzing with excitement following the successful Lions season and the upcoming NFL draft. This summer, sports fans have even more to look forward to with the Detroit Sports Spectacular. The new sports show will take place at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi from June 7-9 and will feature a wide variety of vendors specializing in cards, collectibles, framing, autographs, photography opportunities, and more.
The event will be packed with highlights for sports fans, including appearances by renowned athletes such as former Detroit Red Wings player Vladimir Konstantinov and former NFL quarterback Joe Montana. Attendees can expect to meet their favorite athletes, get autographs, and take photos with them, though there may be a cost associated with these experiences.
On the first day of the event, attendees can expect to see auction houses, grading card companies, and authenticators among the vendors. On the second day, former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders will make an appearance alongside other notable athletes. On the final day of the event, baseball and hockey veterans such as former MLB outfielder Andre Dawson and former MLB pitcher Goose Gossage will make appearances.
Tickets for the Detroit Sports Spectacular will be available for pre-sale online starting April 29. Admission tickets will also be sold in person for cash only at a price of $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 10 and under. A weekend pass will be available for $40 or a Friday pass with early entry for $25. General admission hours are from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m on Friday, 9:30 a.m to 5 p.m on Saturday and 10 a.m to 4 p.m on Sunday while VIP timing is from 1 p
