The healthcare provider assured the public that patient care delivery remains a top priority for their care teams.
Despite disruptions to clinical operations, Ascension emphasized its commitment to fully investigating the incident and notifying and supporting individuals if any sensitive information was affected. The organization also highlighted the various Ascension hospitals currently serving the Chicago area, including Lurie Children’s Hospital, which faced a similar cyberattack in January.
