On Friday, Columbia College faced off against Stephens College in a doubleheader. After a recent loss to Williams Baptist University, the Cougars were eager to get back on track. In the first game, they took control early on with Jazlin Gottman’s single in the second inning resulting in two RBIs and putting them ahead 2-0. Ultimately, they secured a 4-0 victory in the first game.

The momentum shifted in the second game as Stephens College dominated the third inning and took a 2-0 lead. Elise Kendrick’s hit drove in two runs and the Stars continued to build on their lead with three more singles by the sixth inning bringing the score to 6-2. Despite their best efforts, Columbia College fell short of a sweep as Stephens College emerged victorious with a final score of 6-4.
