Collaborative Efforts to Gather Community Health Information in Helena with CASPER Survey

A first-of-its-kind multi-county community health survey will take place in Helena in June. The survey, known as the Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER), is a collaborative effort involving organizations such as Lewis and Clark Public Health, Pureview Health Center, and St. Peter’s Health. The purpose of the CASPER survey is to provide a snapshot of community health conditions, behaviors, and social determinants.

Thirty 2-member teams will be assigned to locate seven households in each census block who are willing to participate. Residents who take part in the survey will have the opportunity to win a $500 Visa gift card. The data collected from the CASPER survey will be used to identify public health priorities and develop a community health improvement plan.

The door-to-door survey is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, June 25th, between 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Volunteers will be tasked with going door-to-door across Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, Powell, Broadwater, and Meagher counties. This initiative aims to gather valuable information that will help in addressing health issues and improving the overall well-being of the community. The deadline to apply as a volunteer for the survey is Monday, June 17th.
