Western Slope Iron and Supply marks half a century in business with celebration

Western Slope Iron and Supply recently marked its 50th anniversary with an open house that brought together customers, contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and trade partners. Three generations of owners, including founder Jim Over, his son Jeff Over, and current owner David Marsh, were present for the celebration. Over 100 people attended the event, including representatives from the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce who held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to honor the company’s milestone.

Western Slope Iron and Supply has become a significant employer in Mesa County with 65 employees. The company specializes in steel fabrication and has provided materials for various local projects such as the James Pulsipher Regional Cancer Center at Community Hospital, the new Grand Junction High School, Orchard Mesa Middle School and Lincoln Park Stadium Tower. Additionally, Western Slope Iron and Supply has also worked on projects outside of Colorado like the expansion of McCarran International Airport (now Harry Reid International Airport) in Las Vegas.

David Marsh expressed his gratitude for the company’s success over the years. He attributed it to its dedicated employees, loyal customers and a commitment to treating people well. Western Slope Iron and Supply is known for its exceptional customer service which has helped them build long-lasting relationships with their clients.
