Partnership is Essential for Growth in the All-Island Economy: Murphy

Conor Murphy, the Economy Minister of Northern Ireland, emphasized the importance of working together with the south to maximize trading advantages offered by the north’s unique arrangements. He reiterated this commitment after chairing a Trade and Business Development Sectoral Meeting of the North South Ministerial Council in Armagh.

During the meeting, Minister Murphy highlighted the protection of the all-island economy by the Windsor Framework and stressed the need for collaboration to enable businesses from various sectors to leverage new trading opportunities. He sees these trading arrangements as instrumental in realizing his economic vision of a highly productive, zero-carbon, and regionally balanced economy with quality employment opportunities.

InterTradeIreland provides an update on its work during the meeting, which supports cross-border trade and cooperation through various programs and financial initiatives.
