Bango honors champions of Racine Elementary School’s Fresh Air Science Fair

Recently, the students of Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recognized for their outstanding participation in a two-month long Fresh Air Science Fair. The event began on February 1st, with teams of fifth-graders submitting projects that showcased their understanding of clean air pollution concepts. Projects were judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and creativity of presentation.

On March 27th, an award assembly was held to celebrate the achievements of these young scientists. The assembly was attended by Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers. During the event, winners were announced and prizes were awarded.

The first-place team members received an exciting prize – three tickets to attend the April 10th game between Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic, along with transportation to and from the game and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place teams also received impressive prizes – Bucks merchandise.

This project was made possible through a partnership between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and dedication towards this project!
