Empowering Women in Jordan through Sports: Elevating Fitness and Personal Training Skills

The “Goal for Life” programme was created through a partnership between the Jordanian Ministry of Youth and the International Labour Organization (ILO). The programme was implemented by Mudarrib, a social enterprise with expertise in sports consultancy. As a registered enterprise with the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), Mudarrib collaborated with the ILO to focus on empowering women by providing decent job opportunities and reducing unemployment rates.

The aim of this programme is to equip participants with the necessary skills for employment in gyms, educational institutions, and other sports facilities. Through effective use of media platforms, the Goal for Life programme seeks to challenge and break misconceptions about women’s abilities in these male-dominated fields. By providing women with the tools and support needed to succeed in the sports industry, they are able to contribute to their own empowerment and economic independence.

This collaboration between the Ministry of Youth, ILO, and Mudarrib demonstrates a commitment to promoting gender equality and creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce in Jordan’s sports sector. The Goal for Life programme provides women with an opportunity to develop their skills and access job opportunities in this industry, driving positive social change and empowerment for women in Jordan.
