C.J. Stroud slept through the Texans’ major trade for Stefon Diggs

In the offseason, C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans revealed that he was one of the last to hear about the team’s acquisition of star wide receiver Stefon Diggs. This revelation came as a surprise to Stroud, who had been asleep in his home in L.A. on the West Coast when news of the trade broke.

Upon waking up to messages from friends asking how he felt, Stroud quickly checked Instagram and saw that Diggs had joined the Texans’ roster. Excited by this new addition to the team, Stroud spoke about their previous meeting at the Pro Bowl, which he felt laid the foundation for their relationship moving forward.

With Diggs joining an already productive Texans offense, Stroud and Diggs are expected to create a potent tandem that will take the team’s performance to new heights. Last season, Diggs had an impressive run with the Buffalo Bills, catching 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns. He joins receivers like Nico Collins and rookie Tank Dell, who have also shown promise on the field.

Stroud’s solid performance in his rookie season threw over 4,000 yards and 23 touchdowns has set up well for him to work alongside Diggs and elevate their offense even further. Overall, both Stroud and Diggs are looking forward to working together and contributing to a successful upcoming season for the Houston Texans organization and their fans alike.
