The “I Didn’t Want To Tell You: Normalizing The Conversation Around Mental Health” event series has been gaining popularity in the Tulsa area, with organizer Bobby Dean Orcutt attracting large crowds. Orcutt started the series after struggling to find in-person PTSD and anxiety disorder groups in the area in late 2023. Through social media, he found many others seeking mental health resources and inspiration to start his own events.
Since the beginning of the year, Bobby has hosted six events focused on mental health, covering diverse topics such as trauma, addiction, depression, healing, treatment through psychedelics, religion, and spirituality. Guest speakers like Sterlin Harjo and Mary Beth Babcock have been featured in these events.
Joining us on the Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch is Bobby himself as he discusses his upcoming mental health event with artist Marlon F. Hall. If you are interested in learning more about this event, click here for more details.
