Gladstone BraveBots Robotics Team Competes in World Championship in Houston | Local Team Makes Headlines

The Gladstone BraveBots robotics team recently returned home after participating in the World competition in Houston, Texas. The team had earned a spot in the World competition by performing exceptionally well in the state competition.

During the three-day competition, the BraveBots played on Johnson Field and won their last seven games, finishing with a record of 8-2. As alliance captains, they partnered with teams from North Carolina and California. Although they defeated the #3 alliance, they ultimately lost to the #7 alliance, who went on to win the tournament.

Coach Tim Barron commended his team for their hard work and dedication, particularly in scouting 125 games. He also praised the senior members for their leadership and guidance throughout the competition. Barron expressed gratitude towards the mentors who gave their time and expertise to help the team succeed. Although some seniors have graduated, Barron is optimistic about the future of BraveBots thanks to the talented underclassmen on the team.
