On April 19, a 36-year-old male tour guide in Ho Chi Minh City suffered severe injuries after a boat he was on carrying 42 foreign guests collided with a ferry on the Tien River. The patient’s injuries included a severed elbow, traumatic shock, ruptured organs, and multiple broken bones. Dr. Le Dinh Hai from the Department of Trauma and Orthopedics at Cho Ray Hospital stated that the patient was in critical condition upon arrival at the hospital.
Following the accident, investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the collision. Both the ship’s crew and the ferry driver tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
