The Latin American Music Awards took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and was hosted by Thalia, Becky G, Alejandra Espinoza, and Carlos Ponce. The awards ceremony was broadcast live on Univision and featured a bilingual broadcast, marking the first time that a major U.S. awards show had been presented in both English and Spanish.
Thalia expressed her joy at being surrounded by familiar faces and the beautiful blend of cultures present at the event. She described “Te Va a Doler” as a song that combines both regional and modern elements, reflecting her musical style while incorporating the new Mexican regional sound. The song from her upcoming album, A Mucha Honra, was given an electronic treatment by DJ Deorro.
Feid and Peso Pluma were the top nominees of the night, each receiving 12 nominations. Other artists with multiple nominations included Bad Bunny, Grupo Frontera, Karol G, Shakira, Eslabon Armado, and Fuerza Regida. Thalia’s performance was lively and energetic, with over a dozen dancers in metallic outfits joining her on stage.
The Latin American Music Awards were a celebration of Latin American music and culture and showcased some of the best talent in the industry.
