Bartlesville High track and field had a standout performance at Regionals over the weekend, earning 12 qualifications for State. The usual suspects from BHS, including jumpers and long-distance runners, have been consistently performing well throughout the season and will be competing for championships at the State level.

Head coach David Ayres highlighted some of the relay teams that will represent Bartlesville at the upcoming State competition. One athlete to watch is Gentry Turner, who has been a strong contender to win the two-mile event. Turner is also one of only a few girls to have run a sub-five-minute mile this season, making her a standout competitor for BHS.

In addition to Turner, Ayres mentioned several other Bartlesville qualifiers who have shown great potential to make their mark at the State meet. With 6A State set to take place in Oklahoma City this Friday and Saturday, all eyes will be on Bartlesville High’s talented track and field team as they strive for excellence in their events.
