AUA Flight Attendant Jobs
The AUA is currently looking for full-time flight attendants. According to the job listing on their website, applicants will undergo two months of training before starting their employment with a gross annual salary of €31,080, which translates to €1,717 net per month. The company offers benefits such as an included uniform and the opportunity to work in one of the most livable cities in the world.
To be eligible for the position, applicants must have a high school diploma or completed vocational training, be fluent in English, possess an EU passport or have unrestricted access to the Austrian labor market, and live close enough to the airport to report within 90 minutes when on call. After five years in the position, flight attendants can expect to earn €2,337 gross per month, while after ten years, this increases to €3,475 gross per month.
AUA’s Union Vida has released salary information for flight attendants. According to Vida’s collective agreement from March 2020 to December 2022, flight attendants earned a flat rate salary regardless of long- or short-haul flights operated. However, there was a salary reduction of 15-20 percent due to COVID-19 that was later reset back to its original level with some employees experiencing real wage losses due to inflation.
